Description

HBundle 20 is a heat exchanger element, hollow fibers/capillaries potted in a d20mm pipe for lumen connection. HBundles are used for immersed heat exchangers.

Usually polypropylene fibers (OD300 - OD1200micro) are used, but other materials are also available. Pipe can be PVCu, PVCc, PC or other. Potting material is usually polyurethane.

Whole setup/module has to be compatible in terms of maximum operating temperature, chemical resistance and mechanical strength (operating pressure). Polymers operating in higher temperatures have substantially lower mechanical properties. This also applies to chemical resistance.

Temperature shocks and dilatations has to be minimalized.

For heat exchanger module usually standard PVC fittings are used. This limits the max operating temperature, but offer great design flexibility and price advantage against custom machined parts.
