② caps are glued on
③ lumen side - luer locks, shell side hose barb D5mm

Possible Applications

  • Gas transfer, microporous hollow fiber membrane is used so gas/liquid or liquid/gas
  • Gas filtration - gas/solids separation on microfiltration level
  • Membrane degassing - lab, OEM applications

Applications Notes

  • Shell side ports are hose barb, usually vacuum is applied. Use PU or thick wall PVC hose.
  • Try to avoid temperature shocks, slow change is preferable. For contactor (liquid / gas, degassing) applications temperature gradients might cause condensation inside the pores, wetting and module bleeding. When this happens thorough drying (dry air @50°C at least 24 hours) will restore the module.
  • No oxidizing chemistry or UV light – PP membrane is very sensitive. For chemical cleaning use standard NaOH / citric acid procedure.
  • Chemical resistance can be estimated from used materials PP, PSU, polyurethane, usually least resistant is potting - polyurethane.

Custom Options
